TW Group’s journey began with brothers Billy and Dewald Te Water and a shared determination to build something lasting.
The business started trading as TW Transport in 1995. In 2006 the brothers purchased a brick factory and established TW Stene, creating the foundation for what would later become TW Group.
Billy expanded into construction after purchasing a TLB and a tipper truck while Dewald continued building a successful farming operation. These early investments opened the door to contract work and opportunities within the coal industry.
Through hard work, strategic growth and continuous reinvestment the business developed into a diversified group offering solutions across civil construction, earthmoving, transport, plant hire, demolition, property development, surveying, dam maintenance, steel fabrication, agriculture and manufacturing.
Dewald’s farming journey also grew steadily from 200 hectares of maize and a small sheep herd to 800 hectares under cultivation. Today the Group’s operations extend across cattle, soybeans, silage, agriculture, brick manufacturing, construction and property development.
Following Billy’s passing on 29 January 2023 Dewald continues to lead TW Group with strength and vision while carrying forward a legacy built on family, resilience and growth.
